Build Your Dream Jeep Wrangler, Win a Trip to Washington D.C.!

To celebrate Jeep teaming up with USA Basketball, Jeep is holding a contest for the best customized 2012 Jeep Wrangler.

The Power By Design Sweepstakes encourages people to go to Jeep.com and create their own Jeep using different colors, hard or soft tops, and USA Basketball decals. There are additional options like different color treatments or backgrounds that can be unlocked by playing Jeep’s online basketball game and earning points. After completing a custom 2012 Jeep Wrangler, people can share their car on Twitter, Facebook, or e-mail and finish entering the contest. The grand prize winner will receive their customized 2012 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited as well as a trip for two to see a USA Basketball Exhibition Game in Washington D.C.

I love the way that Jeep has put this contest together. The prize is perfect for Jeep and USA Basketball, and the contest allows people to engage both brands and share their finished Jeep on Facebook. Besides that, I would love to win that trip to Washington D.C. and the Jeep Wrangler. You can enter the contest thru Wednesday, June 20 by filling out the online entry form here, and you can read the complete official rules here.

The full Jeep line-up including the Jeep Wrangler is available to view on Bayside’s online inventory here. To keep up with the latest news, incentives, and contests from Jeep, make sure to like Bayside on Facebook and following Bayside on Twitter.

Get Your Jeep and Get Ready for the World’s Most Epic Paintball Battle!

Take a friendly game of paintball, throw in a few Jeeps, and suddenly it turns into a battle that looks right out of a Michael Bay summer blockbuster.

On Memorial Day, filmmaker Devin Graham released “Paintball Warfare – Epic Paintball Battle,” a 3-minute big, brawling paintball fight with ATVs, a Parajet, and a slew of Jeep Wranglers and Jeep Cherokees. According to the video description, the video was partially sponsored by Nitro Circus who provided the vehicles and stunt drivers. Needless to say, they did a spectacular job with professional stunts (which should not be attempted at home).

We were really excited to see the Jeep Wrangler and Jeep Cherokee make appearances in the video. While we don’t recommend trying such extreme paintballing at home, we love the creativity shown with these great Jeep vehicles.

Custom Stretch Power Wheels Jeep Brings Back Childhood Memories

When I was a kid, I was jealous of a neighbor kid down the street. He had a Power Wheels Jeep, one of those little drivable toy Jeeps you could get over at Toys “R” Us. I could have probably run faster than he could drive it, but it was still by far the coolest toy on the block.

I can only imagine what would happen if 5-year-old me could see what toy makers and car enthusiasts are making today.

Recently, a video of a tricked-out stretch Power Wheels Jeep has been making the rounds on YouTube. This miniature Jeep was equipped with a full stereo system with sub-woofers mounted on the back, an iPod plug-in next to the steering wheel, and a Phoenix Gold 800-watt 5-channel amplifier mounted to the front. It also has workable LED headlights and custom leather seats.

The custom job was done by Underground Autostyling, a custom auto shop in Florida. You can watch them show off the vehicle’s full features in the video below.

It is surprising how jealous I am over a car made for elementary school kids. I mean, I’m a grown up. I could buy a real Jeep if I wanted to. The good news for Underground Autostyling is that if I want their custom Power Wheels Jeep, then kids are definitely going to want it too. If these modified Power Wheels Jeeps take off, in a few years we could get a whole new generation of young Jeep fans itching to buy their first Wrangler.
