New Jeep Patriot Altitude Announced

The Jeep Patriot seems to be mad that so many other vehicles such as the Dodge Dart and the Grand Cherokee are stealing its thunder. A new announcement is bound to bring the spotlight back on it, though.

This stems from the winning name of the Jeep “Name My Ride” contest. The name Altitude was officially awarded for the new fully decked out vehicle. The Wrangler, Compass, and Grand Cherokee have already gotten their similar Altitude editions, but the Patriot makes sure to bring a unique flair to the design.

The Jeep Patriot Altitude has the driver speeding down the street and over any off-road obstacles on 17-inch high-gloss black aluminum wheels. The Patriot Altitude has a subtle shine thanks to the chrome and polished steel on the lower fascia, the rear step pad appliques, and a bright polished steel roof rails.

This novel design work isn’t just on the outside, but also extends into the interior. Features that the Altitude puts into the interior design includes features like a leather-wrapped steering wheel and audio controls, premium Cubic/Duet cloth bucket seats. Buyers have the choice of a standard four-speaker system or, if they want more bang for their buck, there’s the Boston Acoustics Premium Sound System with a 368-watt amplifier.

The Jeep Patriot Altitude is available for a limited time only, so make sure to get into Bayside Chrysler Jeep Dodge for a test drive. Custom Jeep Cherokee Ready for Anything

Jeeps have a history of being popular for drivers looking to escape the confines of the roads and seek adventure off the beaten path. It just so happens that a company decided to trick out a Jeep for the purpose of making it unstoppable on any terrain.

The Examiner has an article detailing what Chris Faustmann, the manager of the research and development of Performance Automotive Group, did to 1996 Jeep Cherokee. The intents of his upgrades and tweaks are to be a test bed for the company’s new product development. It does have a more selfish purpose, however, in that Faustmann has a love for rock crawling and is definitely using this new Jeep to fulfill that desire.

Just what has he done to give this Jeep the edge, well first off it’s equipped with the company’s own OR-Fab line of products. There’s the rear “comp cut” bumper which is designed to easily slip rocks and still protect the rear hatch and quarters. The rear quarter panels the company put on protect the Jeep’s side rockers. The engine is a ATK Performance 4.0 liter with an S&S Custom exhaust system. The front suspension is a prototype that was designed for the company’s other brand, the Trailer Master Suspension.

These Jeep enthusiast have sure taken their love for the vehicle to a new level. It’s insane to think about someone being able to take a car and give it such a facelift that makes it into an all-terrain and unstoppable tank of a vehicle.

Jeep Wrangler Freedom Edition Pays Tribute to the US Military

Jeep is planning on paying tribute to the US Military by introducing a new version of the popular Jeep Wrangler.

Allpar.com has a full run down of the new 2012 Jeep Wrangler Freedom Edition. Being based on the Wrangler Sport, the new Freedom Edition will come in a choice of either two door or a four door. That’s not all it will offer in visual flair as the Jeep comes with graphics that include a star decal right on the hood and in the back complete with the words “Oscar Mike” on the fender badge. Anyone who has played a military video game in the past decade knows, “Oscar Mike” means “on the move.”

It will have black seats with a tectonic fabric. “Oscar Mike” also sneaks its way inside to be a logo embroidered on the seat backs and in silver stitching. The steering wheel, front arm rest, and the doors will have a french silver accent stitching. Satin Chrome spokes on the steering wheel along with a Mopar Slush Mat finish up the package.

There’s an added bonus to the sales of the Jeep Wrangler Freedom Edition. For every one sold, Jeep will be putting $250 towards an important charitable organization the will benefit both current and returning military members.
