Jeep Owners Tackle the Wildest Terrain

Jeep has always been a popular brand, but it usually tends to attract the more adventurous drivers. The ones that are looking for a vehicle that will give them the best when taken up against the outdoors. At the Guam International Raceway over the weekend, those same kind of drivers got together for an entire day dedicated to Jeep tackling challenging terrain at the Jeep Jungleree 2012.

The day stated with a Jeepology 101 course where new comers were give a lesson on the basics behind the four-wheel-drive vehicles. After that brief lesson it was time for a three-mile trail run in the jungle. Almost 50 Jeeps were on half of the racetrack at a time. Joey Crisostomo, president of Cars Plus, described the scene as, “It was like a Jeep snake going through the course in the jungle.”

The event is seen by many Jeep owners as finally getting the chance to see what their car can really do. Most of these owners don’t have access to these kinds of conditions to take full advantage of the off-roading that Jeep is so well known for.

The main portion of the day was the insane obstacle course designed to give even the most knowledgeable veterans a run for their money. It didn’t help any that all morning it was raining causing the course to be made even harder. Because of this, many new-comers found their jeeps stuck on one obstacle or another, left with their wheels spinning in air desperate to find traction. What the crowd ended up remembering the most was when a blue Jeep Laredo managed to find some airtime after launching itself from a hill course.

2013 Jeep Wrangler Moab: Perfect for the Off-Road Warrior

There’s been a lot of news recently revolving around what Jeep is planning for the years to come. We covered it here, with new models being presented and details into what the current line-up will be getting. That’s only half the story it would seem as Jeep has put out details on yet another new model they will be putting out.

Jeep has announced the release of the Jeep Wrangler Moab. The name comes from one of the most celebrated places in the world to take a 4×4 out to and traverse around in. The Wrangler Moab is based upon the Wrangler Sarhara model and is decked out to handle the worst that nature has to offer. To do this, the Wrangler Moab will have 17-inch Rubicon allow wheels mated to Kevlar reinforced Goodyear Silent Armor off-road tires.

As far as exterior features are concerned, the Wrangler Moab comes equipped with unique Mopar power dome hood. It also has a black fuel filler door and tail lamp guards, matte black Jeep grille bade, and Moab decals on the hood of the vehicle. There’s even an optional body-color three-piece hard top.

The interior also manages to include some modifications to perfectly suit the outside warrior that will be traveling the wild wonders of the out-doors. The seats are premium black leather with the black stitching on the newly designed 2013 Wrangler seats. There’s a Moab embossed instrument panel grab handle and Mopar slush mats. The vent rings, steering wheel spokes, and grab handles have an iron gray trim.

This new Jeep model is, as Mike Manley, President and CEO of Jeep Brand said, all about taking the Jeep to a new height of capability. It’s looks to be a definite must for anyone looking to conquer off-road with power and fashion in one package.
