Jeep Shows Cherokee Trail Carver at SEMA 2013

SEMA is always one of the biggest times of the year for automakers, Jeep chief among them. They take great pride in displaying the coolest new additions to their family. This year’s show was no exception.

While the Wrangler was the Jeep being honored by the show, it was the Cherokee that got the Mopar boost. This new custom Jeep is called the Jeep Cherokee Trail Carver.

It’s impossible to bring up the new Jeep Cherokee and not also have to bring up controversy. Much has already been said in defense and against the new look that the Cherokee brings with it. One thing is for certain, though, and that is Jeeps determination to show their fans, both old and new, that a new look doesn’t take away from the same power and reliability that made Jeep as popular as it is today. That’s the mission the Cherokee Trail Carver sets out to do, to remind people of the versatility that comes with owning a Jeep.

The Cherokee Trail Carver comes with a powerful 3.2-liter V6 engine to help it conquer any terrain. This is match by the out look as the Trail Carver is covered in an Auburn Pearl paint job to make it look right at home in the outdoors.

Mopar has done much to infuse their charm and power into the Cherokee Trail Carver. Over 1 Million Jeep Wranglers Made!

UntitledStrap on the party hats and send in the clowns, Jeep is throwing a celebration!  Their factory in Toledo just produced their 1 millionth Jeep Wrangler!

Now, it’s not just any ol’ Jeep Wrangler, the one millionth unit fresh off the assembly line happened to be a 2013 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 10th Anniversary Edition.

Production has been going very strong at the Toledo Plant.  In 2012, it produced more than 200,000 Wranglers.  That’s the highest output of any year.  They’ve been at max capacity of getting Wranglers out the factory door that Chrysler has recently brought on an additional 200 workers to get production increased.  They want to see 800,000 total sales for 2014 and need the workforce to be able to keep up.

“Every Wrangler we can make is a sold car for us, and the volumes are increasing worldwide, “said Mauro Pino, the VP of Chrysler assembly operations.  “This is a very good problem to manage.”

Jeep is gearing up to get a real sales surge from overseas.  Even with countries like China expressing a huge desire in Jeeps, Sergio Marchinonne, the CEO of Chrysler, has pledged to make sure that production of the popular Wrangler will remain right here state-side.

Jeep Grand Cherokee is the “Official Winter Vehicle of New England”

2014 Jeep Grand CherokeeWinning one accolade is reason enough to be excited. When you win three in one night, it’s time to throw a party!

Jeep is the proud winner of three more trophies to line-up on their ever-growing case. The shiny new awards come from the New England Motor Press Association’s (NEMPA) annual industry dinner. Mike Manley, the President and CEO of Jeep Brand, was on-hand to accept the awards, two of which were for the vehicles and one was for him.

Manley was given the 2013 Executive award due to the Jeep brand’s outstanding product line and their commitment to New England. The NEMPA President Keith Griffin presented it to him.

“During Mike Manley’s tenure, Jeep has enjoyed a renaissance applauded by both consumers- with ever-increasing sales- and by automotive writers, who have heaped awards upon the Grand Cherokee,” Griffin praised.

As he noted, the Grand Cherokee was the reason Jeep earned so much praise. For the third year in a row, the Grand Cherokee earned “Official Winter Vehicle of New England.” It won thanks to its combination of being an all-weather beast on and off the road while still offering comfort and luxury at value prices.

The 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee was the winner of the last award. It won the “Previously Owned Vehicle of the Year” from Wheels TV.

The Jeep, and the Grand Cherokee in particular, has always been a favorite of being handed awards. What matters most is that people see the reason why so much acclaim is given to the brand. Jeep is a company that backs up its trophies by maintaining a quality in their products few others can match.
