The 2018 Jeep Wrangler Features Unrivaled Off-Road Capability

When you think of what the Jeep Wrangler is, the first thing that comes to mind is the off-road capability.  Pictures of the Wrangler conquering the rocky and uneven terrain is exactly the image that Jeep has carefully cultivated.  There is a reason for that, and that is because the Jeep Wrangler has always been focused on its off-road capability as evident by the 4×4 capability of the all-new 2018 Jeep Wrangler.

The 4×4 power of the 2018 Wrangler is in the Command-Trac and Rock-Trac 4×4 systems.  Here’s a breakdown of each.

The Command-Trac 4×4 system is a shift-on-the-fly 4×4 system that features a 2.72:1 low range for rock crawling and neutral for available flat towing.  The speeds allowed while it is engaged is up to 55 mph.

The Rock-Trac 4×4 system, available standard on the Wrangler Rubicon models.  It features superior off-road performance, more control, and more torque.

Jeep Renegade is More Than Just a Baby Jeep

4-2015-jeep-renegade-models

I will never understand how somethings get their names. Take the Jeep Renegade for example. That one makes sense. Renegade is the perfect name for a Jeep, it sounds threatening and powerful, like something that could take on the off-road in the ways it is built to do. But then there is the name of ‘Cute Ute’ that accompanies it and I don’t even know where to start. As far as first impressions go, that one leaves me thinking of some animated cat winking at a camera accompanied by a child’s voice announcing the name. While this ‘Cute Ute’ may fail the initial impressions based on name alone, it thankfully lives up to the quality that Jeep users know and desire.

The Jeep Renegade is Jeep’s first entry into the small SUV segment. This brand new model is aimed at younger drivers who are looking for a gateway into adventurous driving. The model was first displayed for public consumption at the Geneva Motor Show and since then has been very popular amongst the Chrysler Dealerships. Many see it as a chance at targeting a new demographic that previously wasn’t being offered much by Jeep.

The pricing for the Renegade hasn’t been revealed yet but many are speculating that it will serve as affordable enough for first time car buyers. Thankfully, it is also expected that this low price entry will not diminish the quality of the features and capability of the Jeep.

The Renegade will be borrowing some from its older brother the Jeep Cherokee. The Renegade takes with it one of the most advanced 4×4 systems in its class and is the first small SUV to feature disconnecting rear axle and power take-off.

This new Jeep Renegade might be seen as the ‘baby Jeep’ aka the ‘Cute Ute’ but it certainly doesn’t seem like it when the details come out. First impressions are one thing but the Renegade delivers on the promise that all Jeeps have, power and capability for all drivers no matter the look or the size of the Jeep.

2014 Jeep Patriot Freedom Edition Honors The Troops

2013 Jeep Patriot Freedom EditionAhh Memorial Day, the time to start getting ready for summer.  If this past week has been any indication, it’s going to be a hot one in New York for the next few months.

The whole weekend, as people kick back in the pool and poke at their meat on the barbecue, it’s a time to reflect on those that passed to give us the opportunity to enjoy such peace and relaxation.

The military lineage runs deep in Jeep.  It’s how the line came into being.  No other vehicle can really trace its beginnings to being so ingrained in military use.

Jeep is celebrating this history by having a special edition added to their line-up in honor of our troops, the 2014 Jeep Patriot Freedom Edition.  It wears its support for the troops proudly.

The outside is painted in a either red, white or blue.  And it comes with a giant star printed right on top of the hood.  That same star logo is also on the front seats.  Oscar Mike is printed on the front door (it’s military speak for “On the move”).  Other features include 6-speed transmission and full 4×4 capacity.

That’s not the only way the Freedom Edition of the Patriot is giving back.  For every one of them sold, Jeep will in turn donate $250 to a military charity.

Jeep has always supported the troops one way or another for the past 70 years.  It’s never lost sight of that connection and this memorial day continues to honor those that have served.

Bayside Chrysler Jeep Dodge wants to remind those in the military about our Military Incentive Program.
