Jeep is joining with USA Basketball and Sony/ATV Music Publishing for a new summer campaign series.  The new ads will feature Paul George, USA Basketball Men’s National Team finalist, in two of three new commercials.  This summer ad campaign will encompass all of social media, with videos and print ads on all the major social media platforms, such as Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.  The ads will play in part with Jeep celebrating its 75th anniversary this year.

The first two ads are “4x4Summer” and “What I Stand 4.”  Both feature Paul George and focus on showcasing a Jeep fans dream.  “4x4Summer” has images of what looks to be the ultimate summer vacation with Jeep fans in all the various models, from the Renegade to the Grand Cherokee, heading out to enjoy nature and adventure.  It also features artist Morgan Dorr performing a Jeep brand custom track “4x4ever.”

“What I Stand 4” is more narrative.  It has a voice-over by Paul George and is structured on his journey as a player.

The third ad will be debuting later this week and is all about celebrating Hispanic culture.

“Our Super Bowl Spots set the stage for celebrating the Jeep brand’s 75th anniversary this year – with ‘Portraits’ serving as an acknowledgment of the brand’s worldwide community and ‘4x4ever’ bringing to life in song the attitude of Jeep vehicles’ off-road soul and on-road performance.” Said Olivier Francoise, the Chief Marketing Officer at FCA in a statement.  “Our summer campaign continues this theme through a unique alignment combining the power of a custom music platform from Sony, USA Basketball Men’s National Team finalist Paul George, the USAB team and our special-edition 75thAnniversary vehicles.  ‘4x4summer’, ‘What I Stand 4’ and ‘4 New Perspective’ serve to fuel the dreams and aspirations of adventurers all around the world during one of our favorite seasons while marking a milestone year for Jeep brand.”

Jeep ‘Chips Away’ With the 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee

2014-Jeep-Grand-Cherokee-SRT-front-01Chrysler is a notorious company for the quality of its ads.  They’ve put a fantastic and dramatic commercial together to promote the upcoming 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee.

The ad, titled, ‘Chip Away’ features the same type of uplifting speech material most of Chrysler’s commercials are made up of.  This time around, the speech comes from Al Pacino’s character in Any Given Sunday.  It’s always a good choice to go with a football movie if you’re looking for inspiration.

Pacino preaches of the importance of fighting for every inch in life.  His words are put over a montage of different people all struggling to achieve.  Combined with a dramatic orchestrated score swelling at the perfect emotional moments, it’s clear that the ad company still understand how to send a message of inspiration.

Once the speech is over, a voice-over from a narrator chimes in to note how Jeep is fighting for those inches and chipping away to construct the best possible Jeep.  Take a look at the ad and you’ll see the trend of quality continue for one more time as well as seeing the 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee in action.

Jeep Honors Our Troops With Super Bowl 2013 Ad

Jeep-Wrangler-Freedom-Edition-2012-Image-03-800I think it’s pretty much an unwritten rule that everyone knows there’s three parts to each Super Bowl that the public pays attention to.  First is the most obvious in the actual football game.  Second is the half-time show which, in this year’s case, was to see Beyoncé prove she does rules the world.  Last is for the commercials.  It’s gotten pretty ridiculous the past few years with most of them being leaked to the web days prior to the big game.  That still doesn’t stop everyone from picking and choosing the ad that stood out the most to them.

Chrysler has enjoyed the spotlight the morning after the Super Bowl as they tend to be the one chosen for favorite commercial.  Last year had the infamous Clint Eastwood and his gravelly voice telling America that it’s just half-time for the country.  Before that was Eminem supporting the Built in Detroit series of commercials that would go on to be a huge hit.  This year everyone was talking about Jeep.

The commercial named Whole Again was narrated by the one and only Oprah Winfrey.  Combined with majestic images of our service men and women returning home from war and a sweeping, dramatic score; There’s definitely an expression of admiration for the whole of the United states, both civilians and those who fight to protect them.  Like the previous commercials, Whole Again is able to strike an emotional chord to those who watch and the audience is responding very positively.

The story doesn’t end there, however.  The ad highlighted Operation SAFE return for US personnel coming home after active duty overseas.   Jeep will be donating up to $300,000 to the USO (United Services Organization) as well as part of the campaign.

You can join in on this effort.  By tweeting #joinOSR on Twitter, visiting Yahoo’s homepage, or by going to Jeep Operation SAFE Return’s website, Jeep will be donating $1 to a fund that will give our returning troops assistance with employment and incentives to purchase new cars.  Jeep will also donate to this charity based on vehicles sold.  That’s $250 for Jeep Wrangler, Wrangler Unlimited, and the Jeep Patriot Freedom Edition.

Make sure you follow up with any one of those ways to give back to those who have given so much.  They deserve all the support they can get from a grateful country.  Bayside Chrysler Jeep Dodge salutes our troops on the front lines and off.
