Jeep Shows Off 2014 Cherokee’s Off-Road Capabilities in New Video

UntitledThe 2014 Jeep Cherokee has been held under a fine microscope even with barely any information released.  All it took was a few sneak peeks and official pictures to get the entire auto world talking.  Some loved the new look and others scoffed.  In response, Jeep is making sure that people remember that the real beauty of their vehicles is not just the exterior, but it’s what’s underneath.

A new video put out by Jeep follows the new Cherokee as it tackles a rocky playground.  The shot is POV and clearly shows that the Cherokee, while boasting a more car-like look, is not unable to take on rough terrain.  The vehicle goes up a couple of steep inclines covered in both solid rock and loose sand.

At the beginning of the video, Jeep teases that the 2014 Cherokee will be offering the best-in-class capability.  There’s no doubt after seeing it briefly in action that all-wheel drive will be a part of the package.

The 2014 Jeep Cherokee will get its full reveal at the 2013 New York Auto Show happening very soon.  Many Jeep enthusiasts are looking forward to seeing just what this giant leap has in store.

Jeep ‘Chips Away’ With the 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee

2014-Jeep-Grand-Cherokee-SRT-front-01Chrysler is a notorious company for the quality of its ads.  They’ve put a fantastic and dramatic commercial together to promote the upcoming 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee.

The ad, titled, ‘Chip Away’ features the same type of uplifting speech material most of Chrysler’s commercials are made up of.  This time around, the speech comes from Al Pacino’s character in Any Given Sunday.  It’s always a good choice to go with a football movie if you’re looking for inspiration.

Pacino preaches of the importance of fighting for every inch in life.  His words are put over a montage of different people all struggling to achieve.  Combined with a dramatic orchestrated score swelling at the perfect emotional moments, it’s clear that the ad company still understand how to send a message of inspiration.

Once the speech is over, a voice-over from a narrator chimes in to note how Jeep is fighting for those inches and chipping away to construct the best possible Jeep.  Take a look at the ad and you’ll see the trend of quality continue for one more time as well as seeing the 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee in action.

2016 Jeep Wrangler Jeep Variant?

UntitledWhat lies in store for the popular Jeep Wrangler?  The time has come for an update to the model and the question is what Jeep has in store for an evolution.

The new Jeep is planned to come out in 2016.  Bloomberg is reporting that Mike Manley, the Jeep President, had some remarks on just what that might mean for the Wrangler at the Geneva auto show.

“I’m a big fan of a Wrangler-based pickup,” Manley said.  Does that mean that Jeep Wrangler will be getting a truck variant when it is released?  There’s a good reason to think just that.  Jeep has big plans to help the globalization of the brand.  With new models being developed for Europe, a focus on the international market is what Fiat is planning on to help their sales.  Having a truck variant in that planning will give the brand the diversity it needs to succeed.

The future is bright for Jeep as Chrysler continues a trend of looking ahead.  Is the world ready for a Jeep Wrangler truck version?
